Good Morning world! Well the roofers are back this morning and started promptly at 8am... blasting their music. Can you say ANNOYING? And of course Blueberry has been barking his head off at them since they got here. Mocha (our cat) is now used to the noise and is now resting on the back of the recliner. Blueberrys barking drives me up a wall, Im am so glad he's finally shut up.
Well Andrew attempted to take me driving yesterday and all he did was yell which made me exceedingly nervous. I hate when he yells at me :( I cried, we eventually got past the ordeal, but he never officially apologized... figures. But anyways, last night Andrew says he needed to go get gas and asked me to go. My mother in law Sue suggests that I drive and that she would come with us. I was a little nervous, because I dont have much experience at all, especially that busy of a road! She even made me back out of our driveway which made me REALLY nervous, because frankly, I SUCK at backing up, but its only because I dont have much practice. And as a quick back story here, when I was 15 my grandfather had started teaching me how to drive, but I was sent to placement in August 2005. While in the states care, I was never taught to drive, so here I am, 19 (almost 20, Ill be 20 in November) and no license....can you say PATHETIC?!? Back to the present... So I backed out of our driveway (successfully) and we drove to the Irving gas station on 155. That was nervewracking. First time at a traffic light, first time over 35 MPH, first time pulling up to a gas pump, and Andrew even made me pump the gas, haha... oh the joys. And I got to drive home, but not before so more practice! We went around some of the backroads, on to central ave (a little nerve wracking to me!!) and then to back river road and some of the back roads over there) and back towards home. And then pulled into our driveway and successfully parking & not hitting ANYTHING! Omg, I was so proud of myself, which doesnt happen often. A great confidence builder. The best thing though? Sue was calm, supportive & patient. What I NEED in order to learn! So I was very very greatful for that! I feel bad that she has already had to teach Andrew how to drive, and now me, but I really appreciate it! I have a hard time judging how wide the car is for some reason, I either hug the center line or the shoulder... but Ill get it right soon.
Yesterday was mine & Andrews 3 year anniversary since we first got together. Cannot believe its been that long, cant believe we survived this long! I made a special family breakfast for the 3 of us, dessert, and dinner, as well as some of my ultra yummy cinnamon bread...YUM! Some of our anniversary was spent crying (by me) but whatever, he just needs to be a little more patient with me I guess.
